Have a ball for charity
Need to make more use out of that expensive suit/formal dress you have wasting away? Then get your gladrags on and do something good by going to The Positive Mental Health Foundation’s ball in Galway on October 1.
The formal dinner dance will have a modern twist, making it suitable for all ages and a highlight of your year – however glamourous your life.
After a champagne reception, the Master of Ceremonies, broadcaster Sean Moncrieff, will guide you through the evenning, which will include a slap-up meal, a 17-piece jazz and blues band, and an auction and tombola whose prizes include a Christmas shopping trip to Cologne, tickets to the Ryder Cup 2006 and a signed Ireland rugby shirt.
All for a very reasonable €150, proceeds of which will of course go to the charity.
To buy tickets or donate to the organisation, contact Bridget Moncrieff on 087 2390 362.
