Groove Armada to release first album in ten years, unveil new single
The album will be called Edge of The Horizon.
After ten years, Tom Findlay and Andy Cato have finally unveiled the details of a fully-fledged new Groove Armada album. It promises to be eleven tracks in length, and will be released October 2nd via BMG.
No longer in the same place geographically, the band came together for a series of intense studio sessions to record the new album.
“During those studio days, the rest of the world shuts down," says Cato. "There’s an intensity, anyone looking in might say madness , that kicks in when we’re totally lost amongst the instruments , synths and records day and night. But that shared , unspoken feeling that comes when we both know we’ve got it right cuts through as clear as ever.”
The band have also unveiled the album's lead single, 'Lover 4 Now'. The song features the "godfather of garage rock," Todd Edwards. ‘Lover 4 Now’. The summery anthem was made with a particular moment in mind. “Ibiza. Poolside at Pikes, that time of the evening when day becomes night and anything seems possible.”
