Glen Hansard Announces New Album And Releases Single

Glen Hansard has released a new single and announced that his upcoming album, This Wild Willing, will be available on April 12 via Anti-Records.

This Wild Willing will be Hansard’s fourth full-length album and will lean into both the musical qualities of The Frames and those that have defined his solo career.'I’ll Be You, Be Me', the lead single from the album, is now streaming on platforms. 

The Irish singer, songwriter and actor, who formed The Frames in 1990 and starred in the Academy Award winning film Once, said in a press release many songs on the album were created through improvisational techniques. 

"Sometimes when you take a small musical fragment and you care for it, follow it and build it up slowly, it can become a thing of wonder," noted Hansen in the announcement. 

Hansard will be performing on April 9 and 10 at Vicar Street at the beginning of his European tour. Listen to 'I’ll Be You, Be Me' below:
