Foy Vance announces run of Irish shows on The Wake World Tour
He is set to play dates in Wexford, Dublin, Galway and Limerick next October.
Foy Vance has announced his The Wake World Tour, including four Irish dates Wexford (October 27), Dublin (October 29), Galway (October 30) and Limerick (October 31).
The tour accompanies his upcoming record The Wake, due out on March 13 via Rounder Records.
The World Tour is set to kick off in September 3 in Zurich and stretch all the way to May 1 in Boston, with stops in Europe, the UK and Ireland, and North America along the way.
The Wake is Vance’s last in a series of seven albums released over 26 years in tribute to his late father, and was produced by Brit Award winner Ethan Jones.
Vance will celebrate the release of his album with five intimate shows, including one in Belfast on March 7. He returns to Belfast on August 15 to play a special show entitled A Celebration of Life with Foy Vance at Custom House Square.
Sketches of the Wake, a 21-minute documentary detailing the album’s creation, premiered Tuesday, January 20.
Tickets for Foy Vance's Irish shows go on sale next Friday, February 27 at 10am here.
