Former black midi member Cameron Picton's new band, My New Band Believe, announce their self-titled debut album, set to release on April 10 via Rough Trade Records.
My New Band Believe is said to be a massive and hallucinatory collection of music that swerves through wildly different emotional and thematic registers, as it unravels an endlessly compelling thread of dream logic.
Alongside the announcement, the band have released the standalone single ‘Numerology’, as well as its accompanying music video.
‘Numerology’ is an exclusive non-album single, which will be featured on a bonus 10” with a special edition of the record, and on a limited edition Deluxe CD.
The track follows the release of the alternative-indie group's debut single, ‘Lecture 25’.
Elsewhere, the band will be heading out on their debut headline tour across the UK, the US and Canada in April/May this year.
My New Band Believe comprises Cameron Picton, Kiran Leonard, Caius Williams, Steve Noble, and Andrew Cheetham.
You can pre-order the album here.
Alongside Geordie Greep, Cameron Picton was the lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist of the English experimental rock band black midi.
Formed in 2017, black midi disbanded in 2024 with its last release being the album Hellfire (2022).
