Fontaines DC and Kneecap among nominees for 2024 AIM Independent Music Awards
Techno duo Bicep were also nominated, as well as garage punk rockers SPRINTS
Kneecap and Fontaines DC are among the first nominations to be announced for the 2024 AIM Independent Music Awards.
The Independent Music awards celebrate the achievements of the indie music community, in an event taking place in London’s Roundhouse on October 17.
Both Fontaines DC and Kneecap have been shortlisted in the best track category, alongside Jorja Smith, Ezra Collective, and more.
The Irish rock band been nominated for their song ‘Starburster’ the lead single off their upcoming album Romance.
Rappers Kneecap have been nominated for the track ‘Better Way to Live’ a song recorded with Grian Chatten and drummer Tom Coll of Fontaines DC.
The award for best Live performer gets decided by fans all over the world, from a pool of 66 performers including Bicep, Sprints, and Kneecap. You can vote here.
Nominees for best album include Kim Gordon for The Collective, D-Block Europe with their LP Rolling Stone, and Jorja Smith for Falling or Flying.
The shortlists for Best Boutique Label and Independent Champion are yet to be announced.
