Femi Kuti set to play The Academy next month

Nigerian Afrobeat star Femi Kuti is set to play The Academy next month.

The son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, Femi visits Dublin with his band The Positive Force for a show on July 8.

Femi is touring his seventh album No Place for My Dream, which he says is all about getting back to the essence of Afrobeat - “making people dance while helping them swallow the bitter pill of reality.”

Tickets priced at €25.00 including fees go on sale this Wednesday.
