Dublin Nightclub Venue Hangar Has Closed Down

The club announced its closure through a statement on Facebook today which read “It is with deep regret that we must inform you that Hangar is now closed with immediate effect. It has been well known that Hangar will eventually close its doors and sadly the time has come”.

The venue located just off Dame Street began as a dilapidated warehouse in 2014 which was transformed into a venue which played host to 100s of local DJ’s and electronic musicians.

The venue was due to shut after permission was granted to build a low-cost hotel at its premises. The organisers in charge of the venue has intended to hold a series of send-off parties but stated that “complications with the new lease holder means that it cannot happen.”
