Dublin band's Venezuelan frontman issues appeal for emergency donations following earthquakes
Venezuela is currently navigating a national crisis following a pair of back-to-back earthquakes.
Dublin band Brake Loose's Venezuelan frontman, Alejandro Murillo de Tommasi, has issued an appeal for emergency donations following a series of earthquakes in Venezuela.
"Two days ago, my home country, Venezuela, was hit by two massive, devastating earthquakes back to back, the worst in over 100 years," said Murillo.
"We don't even know how many people have died due to this corrupt, fake government, this bunch of twats and leeches, these insects that are absolutely doing nothing to help our people."
The frontman details the number of people injured, and which areas have been hit the hardest.
"Thousands are injured right now; there are people in the capital, Caracas, and an area across the Northern Coast, La Guaira, who are digging through the rubble of collapsed buildings with their bare hands, trying to find their families."
He goes on to ask Brake Loose fans to donate to a UNICEF emergency fund.
"Even the price of a pint can help."

His appeal has come just as the critical 72-hour window for rescuing trapped victims following a natural disaster has passed.
At least 1,450 people have died so far, with just under 50,000 reported missing.
