Dua Lipa wins UK European Border Breakers Award
London singer-songwriter Dua Lipa was today announced as a winner of the 2017 European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA), the European music awards for emerging artists.
Dua Lipa will join Irish winners Walking on Cars, who were presented with their award live on RTE 2XFM earlier this month.
Noted for her melancholic lyrics, electronic beats and dark, sensuous vocals, 2016 was Dua Lipa's year, as her singles began to gain traction in charts across the world and a string of shows across Europe brought her into the public spotlight.
Other winners already announced are; Alan Walker (no), Jaakko Eino Kalevi (fi), Namika (de), Hinds (es), Jain (fr), Filous (at) and Natalie La Rose (nl).
Eurosonic will take place between Jaunary 11-14. For more information check out their website:
