DMX Krew plays Dublin March 6
U:Mack's long- running Static night made a welcome return to The Shelter last month, with a fantastic Radioactive Man gig. For March there's a DJ set from electro maestro DMX Krew, with support from some tantalising homegrown talent.
DMX Krew has released four album's on Aphex Twin's Rephlex Records, as well as running his own Breakin' Records label. He has remixed everyone from Kraftwerk to Cylob and is famous for his fresh kitsch style and unique take on modern electro.
Dublin's electronic whiz kids Ambulance will be supporting with a decks 'n' fx set, and having released an album on Mike Paradinas' Planet Mu records last year they're sure to spin some great records and tweak some funny knobs. Also on the night Static resident and Dublin's best electro DJ, Alan O' Boyle (Decal to you and me), will be on the decks mashing it up.
Static also has some very exciting guests on the way, such as Plaid (live/ Warp Records) on April 3, Andrew Weatherall on May 1 and British Murder Boys (live/ feat DJ Surgeon & Regis) on June 5…watch this space for further details.
Static, The Shelter, Dublin (first Saturday of each month)- March 6: DMX Krew- tickets 14 euro. Doors 11pm
