Dizzee Rascal shares new song and video "Wot U Gonna Do?"

Dizzee Rascal has given us not just a new song, but also a new video to boot. "Wot U Gonna Do?" follows last month's "Space" , a track that was also accompanied with a new video upon release.

On this new subdued banger, Rascal is being brutally introspective. It's fair to say the the London rapper was an, if not the, early pioneer of Grime, but he seems to be aware that the new explosion the scene has enjoyed has passed him by. "What you gonna do When your name ain't strong/ what you gonna do when they dont play your records" he laments.

Refreshingly, this effort sounds like a move away form the chart chasing EDM we've heard from recent albums and a move towards the more minimalist futurism of acclaimed debut Boy in Da Corner. Produced by LA dance aficionado Valentino Khan, this is the Dizzee many of us fell in love with.

While Stormzy make have taken over his position as Grime's biggest star in recent times, we can still be reminded of why Dizzee was there in the first place and no one can talk that away from him. Raskit is set to be released on July 21.
