Dervish announces Vicar St. gig with special guests
Eddi Reader, Cara Dillon Brian, and Brian Kennedy will perform, among others.
The Great Irish Songbook, originally launched by Dervish and Rounder Records at The London Palladium in September last year, will come to Vicar St. 3rd May.
Dervish have solidified a place in the Irish folk landscape as the most imaginative interpreters of Irish folk, devoting the last three decades to gently reinventing the traditional songs of their homeland. The Sligo-based band have teamed up with such icons as Steve Earle and Vince Gill, to preserve the boundless spirit of each song while bringing them new vitality. The gorgeous album also features Kate Rusby and Irish actor Brendan Gleeson, who apparently is a part-time fiddle player.
Tickets are available from Monday, 17th February at 9am.
