Dermot O'Leary to host X Factor for €9.6 million
Dermot O'Leary signs a €9.6 million contract to host The X Factor.
43-year-old Dermot O'Leary is a British-Irish broadcaster most commonly known for his eight year stint as a presenter on The X Factor, which came to an end in 2014 after he was replaced with Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
It seems like The X Factor realised their mistake, because O'Leary has recently accepted a record-breaking contract of €9.6 million to host the show once more.
Soon to be one of the highest paid solo presenters on British TV, O'Leary's contract also includes a four-year deal, which will cement his place on The X Factor team for the foreseeable future.
Veterans Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh will all return as judges for the upcoming season. According to O'Leary's new contract, only Simon Cowell and Ant & Dec will be getting paid more than him.
Filming is already under way for series 13 of the talent show and it will return to ITV in the fall of this year.
