Coldplay sell out Croke Park concert
Tickets only went on sale at 9am this morning but Coldplay have already sold out their July date at Croke Park and are selling out shows for their A Head Full of Dreams Tour right across Europe.
The band last played in Ireland in 2011 at Oxegen festival where, in a memorable performance, Christy Moore came out on stage for a duet with Chris Martin.
Disappointed fans are hoping that the strong demand for tickets will lead to promoters adding a second date to the tour. They've been given some hope after extra dates were recently added to their tour stops in Milan, Cardiff and Brussels following sell-out shows there.
A Head Full Of Dreams has sold more than 4 million copies since its December 2015 release and has spawned the hit singles 'Adventure Of A Lifetime', 'Hymn For The Weekend' and 'Up&Up'.
