CMAT, Joshua Burnside and pôt-pot make BBC Radio 6 Music Albums of the Year list
Each of the albums will be explored across special upcoming episodes of Matt Everitt’s New Album Fix show.
BBC Radio 6 Music has revealed its Albums of 2025 – with CMAT's EURO-COUNTRY, Joshua Burnside's Teeth of Time and pôt-pot's Warsaw 480km all scoring spots on the prestigious list.
The Irish acts feature alongside the likes of Sam Fender, Perfume Genius, Deftones, Geese, Lambrini Girls, Mogwai and more.
All of the selected albums will be celebrated over the coming five weeks on the station, within 'Albums of the Year' special editions of Matt Everitt’s weekly New Album Fix show. Each of the albums will be explored across the five episodes, which will feature insights from 6 Music presenters about why they’ve chosen their particular album.
“I love hearing what our presenters have picked for 6 Music's annual Albums of the Year celebration – and 2025's list yet again showcases the incredible depth and breadth of music we play across the network as well as championing some truly outstanding bodies of work from some of our favourite artists," says Cam Pia, 6 Music’s Music Editor. "Over the next five weeks, we'll be digging into these picks via special programming as well as adding tracks from each album to our weekly new music playlist."
