IASCA (Irish Association of Songwriters, Composers & Authors) and BBC Radio 6 Music will celebrate Irish music on the most Irish day of all.
On 6 Music, presenters Cerys Matthews, (10-12noon), Huey Morgan (1-4pm) and Tom Robinson in Now Playing @ 6 Music (6-8pm) will each be selecting a few Irish artists to play during their shows. The station will also replay their Sinead O’Connor First Time special (12-1pm).
BBC Radio 6 is available on digital media: DAB radio, the Internet, digital television, and in northern Europe through the Astra 2B satellite.
IASCA is a new non-profit membership association set up to strengthen and promote the existing community songwriters, composers and lyricists in Ireland, and help music writers of all genres connect and support each other. PLAY IRISH is an IASCA project created to increase radio play for Irish Artists by working directly with radio stations.
