Bruce Springsteen's Croke Park shows voted 'Ticket of the Year'
Ticketmaster Ireland customers have voted Bruce Springsteen’s recent shows at Croke Park as their “Ticket of the Year”, while Coldplay's concert at the same venue next year takes the spot for the most anticipated concert of 2017.
Customers were polled to find out the most popular live events of 2016 and the shows they were looking forward to in 2017.
The “Ticket of the Year” for 2016 went to Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen and the E Street Band for their two sold-out shows at Croke Park in May.
At the same time, Ticketmaster customers said Coldplay at Croke Park on July 8 2017 was the concert they were most looking forward to in the future, closely followed by Robbie Williams at the Aviva Stadium.
Coldplay also topped the polls in the international element of the survey among Ticketmaster’s 85 million live entertainment fans across 28 countries, emerging as “Ticket of the Year” 2016.
The results from the Irish “Ticket of the Year” 2016 poll show a strong mix of genres and audiences to represent a year of huge and varied events across the country.
This year’s poll was dominated by Dublin shows and festivals with Electric Picnic voted as the most anticipated event of 2016 last year. Beyoncé, Adele, Justin Bieber, Muse, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Stone Roses rounded out the list, while Kodaline emerged as the only Irish solo act to make the top 10.
