Bronagh Gallagher releases new single 'Blindsided'
Gallagher is set for a headline show at The Ambassador Theatre in Dublin on October 17.
Derry singer Bronagh Gallagher has released a new soul-pop single 'Blindsided'.
The track is "drawn from her own experiences, about making the best of tough times and what happens when life catches you off guard," according to a statement.
The song comes as part of her upcoming album scheduled for spring 2027, for which the name has not yet been announced. It was written by Gallagher, Conor Brady, Akemi Fujimori and Anthony Cazade.
Meanwhile, she is also set for a headline show at The Ambassador Theatre in Dublin on October 17.
On July 31, the artist released 'Edamame', another track off her forthcoming record. She dedicated the song to Glen Hansard and the music video featured scenes shot in Dublin - also serving as an ode to the city.
Gallagher writes and produces her own music with her band and runs her own independent label, Salty Dog Records. She's released three studio albums to date, an EP, Witch It Up, and another recent single, 'Turn The Temperature Down'.
In the past, she's collaborated with the likes of Brian Eno, Maria McKee and Gary Lightbody.
The artist has also been acting on screen and stage for over 30 years, including roles in The Commitments, Pulp Fiction and The Phantom Menace, along with productions in London's West End, the Royal Court and Broadway theatre productions like Bob Dylan and Conor McPherson's musical Girl from the North Country.
Most recently, she appeared in Lisa McGee's Netflix series How To Get To Heaven From Belfast, alongside Roísín Gallagher, Sinéad Keenan, Caoilfhionn Dunne and more.
