Billie Eilish and FINNEAS unveil No Time To Die
Eilish is the youngest people to ever write and perform a 007 theme.
Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell released 'No Time to Die' in the early hours of the morning on Friday. It will surely go down as one of the more memorable Bond themes. Not only is Eilish the youngest to perform a Bond song, she has also recently become a five-time Grammy Award-winning artist.
In true Eilish fashion, the song is dark and cinematic. "Fool me once, fool me twice / Are you death or paradise? / Now you'll never see me cry / There's just no time to die", she belts over a host of strings. But you'll find none of her typical additives here: there aren't any crosswalk alerts or dentist's drills. The track is produced, expertly as ever, by her brother Finneas O'Connell alongside Stephen Lipson.
Eilish will also perform the song at the BRIT awards with Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marr. Zimmer confirmed this himself on Twitter, saying:
“No Time To Die” by @BillieEilish with an orchestral arrangement from me and @MattDunkleyMuso is out now! I will be performing the #Bond25 theme song with Billie, @Finneas and @Johnny_Marr on Tuesday, February 18 at the @BRITs. Listen to #NoTimeToDie: https://t.co/7sE1h7wlGS pic.twitter.com/qNOh9a7unt
