Favourite Song of 2016?
'Wonderful' by Cate Le Bon. I had this song on repeat for a few weeks before Crab Day came out, it was on an Uncut magazine compilation. I still buy magazines, and I'm glad cos I might've missed this song otherwise.
Favourite Album of 2016?
Cass McCombs- Mangy Love. I'll buy anything Cass puts out, I'm a big fan. But even by a die hard fan's rating, this album is pretty special.
Favourite Gig/
Max Richter in NCH. He played 'The Blue Notebooks' in its entirety, and a selection from 'Sleep'. A truly memorable performance. And he signed my records afterwards!
Favourite Film?
The Lobster. Just saw this last week. A wonderful breath of fresh air.
TV Show?
El Marginal. This is on Netflix. A pretty hardcore Argentinian Prison drama. I keep trying to get people to watch it so I can talk about it with them, but no joy so far.
Favourite Book?
Didn't really buy any new releases this year but just got round to reading Kevin Barry's City Of Bohane. Loved it. So bought the rest. Will read over Christmas!
