Though he styles himself as a singer-songwriter, this English Son and former squaddie (who served in Kosovo) comes across as one of those earnest, Pop Idol pretty-boy types with acoustic guitar and floppy haircut – you know the kind! The songs confirm that suspicion in spades and despite having a memorable, if irritating, voice it’s the cringe-inducing lyrics that will get to you in the end e.g. “My life is brilliant, my love is pure, I saw an angel, of that I’m sure.” (‘You’re Beautiful’) Avoid!
