The gospel legends make a crossover album with impressive results.
The gospel legends make a crossover album with impressive results. The title track is a scary, cold-war parable, while a surprisingly faithful take on Norman Greenbaum’s ‘Spirit In The Sky’ works better than you might expect. Elsewhere a cover of Blind Faith’s Clapton-penned ‘Presence Of The Lord’ features Billy Preston on Hammond B3 while they truly hit the vocal heights on tracks like ‘I Know I’ve Been Converted’ and ‘Moses’.
