Apella Play Whelans With The Blizzards
Two great Irish acts take the stage in Whelans.
Ever since they stormed the radio with their smashing debut single ‘We Met At A Party’ in 2016, Apella have been on a roll, going on to share the stage with the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots, Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, Scouting for Girls and Bon Jovi.
Now pop duo Dara Quilty and Ronan Nolan will support The Blizzards on December 7th in Whelan's.
"We Met At a Party" achieved viral hit status online, with a video featuring Quilty and Nolan attempting to impress ever disheartened panelists. Meanwhile, Apella's other tracks “Graceful Dancer” and “City Limits” have proven they are far from one hit wonders.
“How exactly I’m not sure, but an early version of the song found its way onto the soundtrack of the Road Bike Party 2 video, which has been watched by silly numbers of people,” Dara said. “It’s things like that which make it such an exciting time to be making music!”
Listeners may also recognize Dara from his radio show, The Big Ride Home on 98FM where he has won 4 National Radio Awards in 4 years.
The Blizzards & Apella will play Whelan's at 8pm on December 7th. Tickets from 22.90 can be purchased from Ticketmaster - https://www.ticketmaster.ie/the-blizzards-dublin-07-12-2018/event/1800554AAF5A75B5
