Alexandra Burke tops Irish singles chart

Alexandra Burke has now scored a hat-trick of Irish number one singles over the past three years. 'All Night Long' was third time lucky this week, following in the footsteps of last year's 'Bad Boys' and her 2008 cover of 'Hallelujah'.

The track features American rapper Pitbull ('All Night Long' that is, not 'Hallelujah', although that would have been worth a listen) and climbs three spots from last week.

So while we see Ireland's own Villagers sitting atop the album chart summit, it seems the X Factor effect is still capturing the hearts and ears of the single buying public.
