Æ MAK releases new video 'Folk Songs for Mama & Papa'

Æ MAK has released a new music video for her recent single 'Folk Songs For Mama & Papa'.

The new track arrived last month and comes as the title track of her forthcoming debut album, out May 29.

The new music video was created by director/animator Brendan Corcoran, and takes on a surrealist lens.

“For the visuals, I wanted to create something that reflected the song: beautiful yet distorted," said Corcoran.

"Aoife and I are close friends and have been meaning to collaborate for years, and she gave me full freedom to follow whatever felt natural. That allowed me to make something completely untethered and authentic to how the song made me feel.”

Æ MAK's upcoming album Folk Songs For Mama & Papa is available to pre-save here. Additionally, a series of album release shows are set to take place, with gigs at Spindizzy Records in Dublin on May 29, Music Zone in Cork on May 30, as well as at Steamboat in Limerick later that same day.
