Adored Bullseye TV show host Jim Bowen has died at age 80
Jim Bowen has died at the age of 80 with his beloved wife Phyllis by his side this morning in Lancaster
The TV star and comedian presented the darts based game show Bullseye in the 1980s and 1990s. It was aired for 14 years and watched by over 12 million viewers. The programme obtained cult status among young adults and university students in particular. Its viewers saw Bowen spout his lovable and memorable catchphrases "super, smashing, great" and "now look what you could have won.."
His greatest love was his wife Phyllis with whom he has two children.
Family friend John Pleus told the Press Association; "He passed away very peacefully, (Phyllis) was with him. We are all shedding a tear."
