Mattel reveal Céline Dion Barbie doll
The doll is modelled on Dion's outfit at the 1998 Academy Awards.
Mattel have launched a new Barbie doll modelled after Céline Dion, the renowned singer of 'My Heart Will Go On'.
The French-Canadian has sold over 260 million albums, making her the best-selling Canadian artist and best-selling French language artist.
The doll's outfit is inspired by Dion's appearance at the 1998 Academy Awards, where she performed 'My Heart Will Go On'. The necklace is a reference to the blue heart-shaped pendant Kate Winslet wears in Titanic.
The song, composed by James Horner for the 1997 film, with lyrics by Will Jennings, won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song, plus four Grammys.
“It is a true honor to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career", said Céline Dion. "I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams and believe in the power of their own voice”.
Dion is currently in residency at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, with concert dates until late May 2027.
The Céline Dion Barbie doll is available for pre-order here.
