A Photography Exhibition of Irish Graffiti Will Take Place in Dublin Tonight
A photo exhibition based upon Ireland’s graffiti named “Gurriers An All City Exhibition” will take place in the Fumbally Exchange on Dame Lane tonight from 6-10pm.
The night has been organised by All City Records and is based on Ireland’s first graffiti zine of the same name.
All City specialises usually in vinyl records & graffiti/street art products and has operated as a record label since 2006.
In addition to this they also run a yearly graffiti / skate / bmx Jam in Dublin's Tivoli Theatre Car Park.
On Facebook, their event information explains how “the level of anonymity that normally comes with painting graffiti in a capital city does not exist in Dublin”.
“Despite this we managed to curate a show that reveals, with photographs, the word of Dublin’s ‘Gurriers’”.
“Along with this look at the graffiti and life of these unruly young men, such as Aches, Cesk, Omin and Dope, we are also showing the work from artist Sean O’Rourke, Stefano Bardsley, photographers Nick Peli, Fiachra Corcoran, Eoin Holland, who’s work pivots around graffiti”.
Their night in the Fumbally Exchange will run for one night only.
