A Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek and Christine and The Queens Collab may be on the way
Charli XCX seemed to tease the collaboration on her Instagram.
Charli XCX seemed to tease a collaboration with Caroline Polachek and Christine and Queens on her Instagram on Wednesday (September 22).
A still posted on the English songwriter’s Instagram appears to include the three performing together with the caption ‘a perfect shape.’ Last Autumn, the 29-year old said she had “a vision of doing a song with Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek.”
The photo has fueled speculation by fans that it will be part of her upcoming album, the follow up to 2020’s how i’m feeling now. Charli linked up with Polachek for their 2019 single ‘Gone’ and collaborated with Polachek on ‘Tears’ from Pop 2.
The singer recently shared her latest single ‘Good Ones’ along with its music video earlier this month. It appeared that Charli teased the release date for her upcoming album on a gravestone in the video which read “March 18, 2022,” along with her birthday, August 2, 1992.
The pop star also recently said that she is “very into making ultimate pop music,” and added: “I’m exploring what it means to be a pop star on a major label in a not very current way. And that’s really fun to me.”
Polachek shared her latest single ‘Bunny Is A Rider’ in July as Christine and The Queens most recent release was her 2020 album La vita nuova.
