The Sun Seekers will be playing the Radisson, Galway on 28 September with The Revs. Here's a little background on the hand-picked support...
The Sun Seekers from Galway were formed two years ago by Roscommon man Fintan Donnelly and in that time the group have played extensively in the west of Ireland, building a loyal following. Their sound could be described as pop rock influenced by Irish legends such as The Undertones and The Boomtown Rats. The band are Fintan Donnelly on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Miquel Barcelo form Mallorca on lead guitar, Tony Johnston from Donegal on bass and Donal Kerans from Galway on drums.
The band's debut album Window Shopping For Porsches was recorded over the last four years (at various intervals) in a small studio in county Galway. It was written, produced, engineered and mixed by Fintan Donnelly. Guest musicians include Johnny Donnelly (ex Saw Doctors) and Cormac Dunne (ex Stunning) on drums; Tony Lambert (ex Saw Doctors and Bonnie Tyler Band) and Derek Murray (Saw Doctors) on hammond organ. The album also features a number of other top local Galway musicians.
