The 1975's Matt Healy kisses a male fan at a concert in defiance of Dubai anti-LGBTQ laws
We stan a gay icon!
The 1975 are no strangers to making political statements. Yesterday, while playing at a concert in Dubai - where homosexuality is illegal - frontman Matt Healy kissed a male fan on the lips.
While performing the song 'Loving Someone', Healy got off the stage to hug a male fan who apparently asked the singer to marry him. After a long embrace, The 1975 frontman kissed the young man on the lips. Watch footage of the powerful moment below:

Taking to Twitter after the concert, Matt Healy wrote: "Thank you Dubai you were so amazing. I don't think we'll be allowed back due to my 'behaviour' but know that I love you and I wouldn't have done anything differently given the chance again".
Followed by another tweet: "But who knows maybe they will let me back in let's just wait and see :)".
Previously, The 1975 released the first song from their upcoming record Notes On A Conditional Form. The self-titled album opener features a speech by climate change activist Greta Thunberg.
They're also set to headline Electric Picnic later this month.
