They're waiting on good news from NPHET and the government, but until then Baste are doing great grill & BBQ takeout
There's some serious crowd pleezing going on in Dublin 8
Located at 39 Clanbrassil Street, Portobello, Dublin 8, the outdoor Baste food market will doubtless be hoping for good news tomorrow from NPHET and the government, but until then they’re clicking and collecting away.
While their awesome Lazy Day Pulled Pork Nacho Kit is (sob) temporarily sold-out, you can still grab yourself Six Argentinian Chorizo Sausages (€10) or a Free Range Chicken Burger Kit (€35) for home cooking.
Available Thursday through Sunday, their takeout Grill Menu includes a heroic Steak Frites with Salsa Verde, Smoked Garlic Aioli & Charcoal Salt (€15) and Choripan, one of those spicy Argentinian bangers of theirs served on a sourdough baguette with more of that mayo and hot sauce (€9).
The BBQ gets fired up on Friday and Saturday with the whole Smoked Free-Range Chicken (€18.50) and Crowdpleeza BBQ Sauce (€5) a marriage made in foodie heaven, and perfect if you're responsibly enjoying a socially distanced snifter by the canal.
Their wines include a particularly cheeky hand-harvested and de-stemmed Calcarius, Rosso, 1l (€30) which is rarely sighted on these shores, and they’ve recently debuted their own Crowd Pleeza BBQ Rub & Seasoning, which opens up all sort of possibilities!
