Tech Review: Nokia G60 5G
Hot Press rounds up the best new tech releases of the month.
Nokia G60 5G
A staggering 5.3 billion mobile phones will be chucked into the trash this year, according to the international waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) forum, contributing to our planet’s gradual decline into the landfill hell out of Pixar’s prophetic animation WALL-E.
Nokia’s new phone, while not exactly reversing the planet to an age of windmills and donkey taxis, at least tries to do something about our wastefulness by crafting a phone that has a 100% recycled plastic back and 60% recycled plastic frame. This is a pricey-mid range mobile – starting price €309 – but its eco-friendly credentials merit the cash wastage.
The chunky device has a 6.58” screen, slick scrolling on the 120Hz display and a respectable three-pronged snapper featuring 50MP + 2MP + 2MP lenses. The storage starts at 64GB, going up to 128GB, although there’s no microSD support for digital hoarders.
