Tech Preview: Nextbase Series 2 dashcam
Where would we be without dashcams? Well, there would be fewer television shows on Channel 5 for a start. Whether onboard monitors give you peace of mind, or a royal pain in the derriere, at least the tech in Nextbase dashcam models isn’t a total car crash.
Nextbase’s latest series has many handy features, including Emergency SOS, which alerts emergency services in the event of a serious accident. Amazon’s Alexa is along for the ride, listening to us attentively as we curse profusely in traffic jams.
Should another driver bump into you while you are parked, the dashcam automatically flicks on to record their misdemeanour for an inevitable insurance claim. They sync files to phones over BluTooth and WiFi. Nextbase’s dashcams are available at stores such as Harvey Norman, DID Electrical, and Power City or online here. Prices range from €59.99 to €189.99.
