Registration now open for Minding Creative Minds' August session
Registration is open now for the free event, hosted online on August 29.
Minding Creative Minds (MCM) will hold their next online meet and greet session on Monday August 29, with registration now open - here.
Presented in association with The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, EPIC Working Group, Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO), Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA), MCD Productions & The Cowshed, MCM's August meet up is completely free to attend, but you must register ahead of time.
Discussing August's event, Dave Reid, the founder of Minding Creative Minds, said: "Our monthly Minding Creative Minds online meet & greet sessions run monthly and are free to attend. Our meetings are for all members of the creative sector to chat and support one another. You will also find out more about Minding Creative Minds, together with the services and general support our organisation can offer you. If you have not already been able to attend, consider joining us on August 29th."
The event will be chaired by Ann Marie Shields, Director of Minding Creative Minds and Head of Careers, Industry and Events at BIMM Institute.
According to Minding Creative Minds' website, "the agenda for our online meet and greet sessions is simple: to share experiences and advice with each other; to have conversations with our peers and creative sector colleagues."
"Some of us may wish to tell our story, others may have questions, some of us may wish to attend as spectators just to find out a little more about what we do. Whatever works for you in attending, works for us. We want you to help us shape MCM and our events, so we as an organisation can maximise our efficiency in aiding and supporting your needs."
MCM is Ireland's first 24/7 mental health and wellbeing support programme for the Irish Creative Sector, open to the entire island of Ireland and Irish overseas.
Services provided by MCM include access to a 24/7 dedicated phone line, SMS and WhatsApp support, counselling services, telephone and video counselling, and an extensive web portal and app enabling live chat function.
In addition to the mental health support offered, Minding Creative Minds also offers access to a number of additional services, including advice on practical, day-to-day issues that cause anxiety and stress; legal assistance; financial assistance and consumer advice; career guidance and life coaching; support for non-Irish nationals and their families; mediation for conflict resolution.
