Hot Press Gift Guide: Nine Arrow
Shopping-online has become the norm for many this Christmas festive period – and so, more than ever, we hope that you will consider shopping local. In that way, whether you’re looking for corporate or family gift ideas, you can support small businesses and help them to grow and create more jobs in Ireland.
Created by Irish illustrator Catherine Geaney, Nine Arrow explores the Irish language and culture through art. Inspired by Darach O’Séaghdha’s Motherfoclóir podcast and book of the same name, Nine Arrow was born out of Geaney’s re-ignited drive to make something beautiful as Gaeilge after spending time living in Japan.
Geaney’s striking illustration work is the perfect gift for a language lover in your life, with a range of prints, matching frames, hoodies, embroidered t-shirts, cushions, tote bags and tea towels for sale on her website. Nine Arrow products are crafted using Irish-only vendors in keeping with Geaney’s passion for supporting local businesses.
The store’s printed designs are also made with the socially conscious brand Bella+Canvas, and packaged with love using eco-friendly materials.
Prices range between €2.75 and €44 for cards, homewear, clothing and prints.
