H&M announce new genderless line with Eytys
The new line resembles a '00s revival with a modern take.
H&M have a history of working with luxury brands to create affordable collaboration lines. Past collaborations include Balmain, Kenzo and most recently the Moschino line, with items continuously selling out each year. Now the high-street brand are teaming up with cult brand Eytys to release a unisex line.
The collection will be available in selected stores worldwide as well as online from 24 January 2019.
The Eytys x H&M line will feature genderless shoes, clothing and accessories for adults and a selection for kids. The line fits well with the Eytys ethos of "freedom from restraints based on gender or age".
The Swedish brands have created wardrobe staples for men and women alike. The collaboration focuses on fashion-forward footwear and incorporates current trends such as snake print, chunky soles (both runners and boots) and raw denim. The colour palette sticks to black and white, neutrals and splashes of indigo, yellow and green.
An an added bonus, each pair of shoes come with a specially designed box which features a unique artwork by Canadian painter Zoe Barcza.
The line itself resembles a '00s revival. Some of the pieces echo the early 2000s trends of tank tops and relaxed, baggy jeans. Artists Nelly, Gwen Stefani, P!nk and Avril Lavigne would lap this line up twenty years ago.
Compared to the typical Eytys prices, this collab line is quite affordable with prices starting at €3.99 to €149.99.
