Off the beaten track, but worth the detour and then some, the ingenious use of the very best in local produce makes this one of the nation’s finest hidden gems. The Skeaghanore Duck Liver Paté with Sweet Chilli Jam, Homegrown Cucumber & Toasty Bits tops an excellent list of Brunch treats. Afternoon Tea is a big deal too, with the Salted Caramel & Chocolate Tart worth leaving room for. The gardens themselves supply no small amount of the fare, while local producers and artisans chip in too. Run by the Perry family, it stages plays and gigs through the summer, making this a truly special experience.
Best Dish: West Cork Platter with Local Cheeses, Smoked Mackerel, Gubeen Chorizo, Garden Pestos & Home-Baked Bread – €13
