Faraway Martin's new single 'I Got Fire' selected for FIFA World Cup advert
Faraway Martin was recently named as one of Hot Press magazine’s Hot for 2022 acts.
Mayo singer-songwriter Faraway Martin has announced via social media that his new single has been chosen for a FIFA World Cup advert.
Qatar-based Ballinrobe native Martin Farragher will see 'I Got Fire' feature on Hyundai's advert for November’s FIFA World Cup in the controversial region.
Last November, he was one of the headline acts at Qatar’s Formula 1 Grand Prix, later playing at The Qatar MotoGP and various festivals in Doha.
The Doha-based singer-songwriter was an instant hit on the Hot Press Y&E Series in 2021. Dropping ‘Let You Down’ last June – full of falsetto vocals and infectiously smooth melodies – Martin has a flair for catchy pop. Major international radio play came his way across the Middle East, the US and the UK thanks to 2020 offering ‘The Lights Turn On’.
The rising artist supported Boyce Avenue and Bazzi in Qatar after opening for Aslan, Mick Flannery, Mundy and Hermitage Green in his homeland.
