European Mushrooms take the spotlight at Bord Bia Bloom

EUROPEAN MUSHROOMS (GEPC Promo) is kicking off summer in style by partnering with Maria Harte to showcase European mushrooms as the culinary stars of the season.

This special event will take place at the Bord Bia Bloom Festival over the June Bank Holiday Weekend. Popular Irish influencer Maria Harte, known for her simple but impactful recipes and gathering twenty thousand followers on her social media, will be onstage at Bloom on Thursday the 29th of May, at 2.30pm and 3.00pm. She will be lighting up the stage at the 'Horticulture is Life' stand, with her dynamic cooking demonstrations, revealing the incredible versatility and rich flavours that European mushrooms can bring to any dish. Visitors will learn how to recreate her chorizo and mushroom picnic pies at home, a perfect dish for any picnic or light lunch with family and friends this summer.

As Ireland's largest and most exciting gardening festival, Bord Bia Bloom offers a world-class experience celebrating innovation, nature, and sustainable living. From May 29th to June 2nd, the Visitor Centre at Phoenix Park, Dublin, will be bustling with energy and inspiration.

Maria Harte's appearance at Bloom is in collaboration with the GEPC to bring awareness to European mushroom production and distribution. In 2023, the GEPC launched a 3-year, 5-million-euro, communication campaign co-financed by the European Commission to promote mushrooms' consumption across 9 European countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain). The campaign targets millennials and proposes to consider European Mushrooms as a Hidden Gem.
