"We’ve all enjoyed watching the Girls in Green do us proud in Australia,” said Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste. “Now is our chance to tell them in person just how proud we are of them. I have no doubt their efforts will have inspired lots of girls and boys all over the city to try and be like them some day.”
Dublin City Council has iterated that this is an alcohol-free and family-friendly event. They have also urged people to avail of public transport when travelling to and from the celebration.
LUAS Green Line services will not be running between St Stephen’s Green and Dominic Street from 2:30pm until the last tram. The rest of the Green Line services will run as normal. Valid LUAS tickets may be used on Dublin Bus.
