Day Fever, the “daytime clubbing experience” for over-30s, to return to Dublin
The event, which will run from 3 to 8 pm, is set to take place at The Academy
Day Fever, the “daytime clubbing experience” for people ages 30 and over, is set to return to Dublin on May 23. The event will take place at The Academy.
Day Fever was founded by actress Vicky McClure and her husband Jonny Owen in 2024 as a “nightclub in the afternoon for people of a certain age”, as it was described by Owen. "I love meeting mates, having a few drinks, having a dance but also like getting a cheeky curry afterwards, not queuing hours for a taxi and being home early enough for Match of the Day - and then it also doesn't ruin your Sunday either.”
Since its founding, Day Fever has sold out shows across the UK and in Ireland. Day Fever’s return follows its February 7 event at The Academy.
'We knew that there were people out there, like us, who would want to spend a Saturday afternoon partying the day away, but nothing prepared us for the avalanche of tickets that flew out the door!” said McClure. “We quickly realised that people wanted more and more, so here we are! Get your dancing shoes on again, boys and girls, because Day Fever has arrived in Ireland, in Dublin. It's one of the world's great party cities!”
The event will run from 3 to 8 pm. In announcing the event’s return, Day Fever announced 3 rules to be followed throughout the afternoon:
“Rule 1 – Over 30's only[;] Rule 2 – Get ya glad rags on[;] Rule 3 – No dickheads!”
Tickets are on sale now.
