South Dublin On Ice – a real ice rink, located in the heart of South Dublin – is running from now through to January
The festive season has officially landed in South Dublin – with an exciting array of winter events and activities, supported by South Dublin County Council, lined up for the days and weeks ahead...
From late November through to December, the area is set to play host to a spectacular selection of Christmas Markets – coming to Clondalkin (November 28), Parthalán Place in Tallaght (December 5), Lucan House (December 7), and Rathfarnham Castle Park (December 14). There's a wonderful evening to be found at each market, with local crafts, mouth-watering seasonal treats, and festive fun for all the family.
You'll also get to see the magic of Christmas come alive in front of your very eyes at the Clondalkin and Parthalán Place events, with the markets coinciding with special tree lighting ceremonies, officially kicking off the wintertime celebrations...

The excitement doesn't stop there, of course. From now through to January 2026, The Square Tallaght is home to South Dublin On Ice – your essential spot for unmissable ice skating fun.
This real ice rink – located in the heart of South Dublin – is ideal for family and group outings, with each skate session offering a full 45 minutes on the ice.
You can book in for a skate session at southdublinonice.ie – with group booking and birthday party options also available. Early booking is recommended to secure your preferred slot.

- The Christmas Circus of Wonders and Curiosities – a yuletide show like no other, where holiday magic meets the marvels of the big top (Lucan House, running until January 4)
- Toy Workshop Grotto – meet Santa at The Square Tallaght (running until December 24)
