Behind the somewhat austere black exterior lurks a warm-hearted steak ‘n’ cocktail joint which is yet another reason to head to Capel Street where interesting restaurants and food shops abound. The €17 Chef’s Cut is spec- tacularly good value compared to some of Bovinity’s carnivorous southside rivals with the chimchurri, peppercorn, mushroom, bone gravy and bearnaise sauces to go with it an equally VFM €2 each. As for the libations, the Bulleit Bourbon Bell Pepper Sour tastes of I’ll have another.
Best Dish: Chef’s Cut Steak with Truffle & Parmesan Chips & Bone Gravy – €25.50
