Bombay Pantry adds its name to the #FeedTheHeroes initiative
The Indian takeaway is part of a growing number of restaurants around the country which will deliver food to healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 crisis.
Bombay Pantry is dealing in more than just delectable Indian takeaway at the moment. The company has announced that its various locations will participate in the #FeedTheHeroes initiative, an effort organised by Cian O'Flaherty.
#FeedTheHeroes partners with various food delivery services to get food to healthcare workers and others working around the clock to mitigate the Coronavirus crisis.
Bombay Pantry director Emma Sheehan has said: "Our teams have taken particular pride in preparing food for the frontline staff that are working around the clock keeping us safe.
"Our Glenageary store delivered a range of our delicious curries into the COVID-19 testers and the A+E staff in St.Michael’s hospital on Monday. Clonskeagh delivered to St. Vincent’s last night and tonight we are delivering to the Radiographers in Loughlinstown.
"They talk of the community spirit as giving them a real lift when they are in the middle of a tough shift. So if we can play a part in lifting spirits in this really challenging time, that gives us a boost too as we all navigate our way through this uncharted territory".
Additionally, as one more businesses close to stop the spread of Coronavirus, Bombay Pantry has made all deliveries contactless, and no longer accept cash payments.
