'A lifetime of pushing boundaries:' Tony Hawk to appear at City West Dublin
'An evening with Tony Hawk,' will be showing at City West Dublin on the 29th of July, 2022.
Pro skater by fourteen, world famous by sixteen; Tony Hawk is known and loved around the world for his incredible talent, sense of entrepreneurship and devotion to the skate community. Now, the 12-time world champion is speaking on his life and legacy in a tour around Ireland and the UK.
Perhaps the most famous name in skateboarding, Tony Hawk has been sharing his journey through both the sporting and business worlds for years. Author of of two books, co-host of podcast Hawk vs. Wolf and founder of the Skatepark Project, Hawk has redefined what it means to be a pro athlete. He retired from competing professionally in 2003 and is regarded as one of the most influential skateboarders of all time.
Hawk has also been involved in various philanthropic activities throughout his career, and is the founder of the Tony Hawk Foundation, which helps to build skateparks in underprivileged areas around the world.
Titled 'An Evening With Tony Hawk,' the speaking tour will cover "a lifetime of pushing boundaries," according to a press release. From being the first to land a 900 to the ProSkater video game, audiences can hear personal stories about success, fame and growth from the legendary skateboarder and entrepreneur.
Kicking off his tour at City West Dublin, Hawk will also speak in Manchester and London. Tickets can be bought here.
