WATCH: Beach Boys' Brian Wilson appears in trailer for upcoming documentary
The documentary will be released on November 19 – the same day as his 11th solo album, At My Piano.
The trailer for Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road has been shared by Screen Media Films. The documentary, which follows the career of Beach Boys frontman Brian Wilson, will be released November 19.
Directed by Brent Wilson, Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road will include archival footage from the musician's career as well as numerous special guests. Jason Fine, editor of Rolling Stone, will interview Wilson. Artists like Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Nick Jonas, Al Jardine and more will also appear in the documentary.
The documentary will be released on the same day as At My Piano, his 11th solo studio album.
"I can't express how much the piano has played such an important part in my life," said Wilson about his upcoming record. "It has brought me comfort, joy and security. It has fuelled my creativity as well as my competitive nature."
"I play it when I'm happy or feeling sad. I love playing for people and I love playing alone when no one is listening," he added. "Honestly, the piano and the music I create on it has probably saved my life."
