Twisty upcoming Netflix crime series Bodies has a new trailer
The series based on the graphic novel of the same name by Si Spencer is due to release on Netflix on October 19th.
A mind-bending trailer from creator Paul Tomalin has dropped for the upcoming Stephen Graham-led crime limited series Bodies.
The twisty police procedural is based on the graphic novel by Si Spencer and follows four East London detectives across four time periods when they all find what appears to be the same body. From 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053, the detectives soon discover their investigations are linked as an enigmatic political leader Elias Mannix (Graham) becomes increasingly central. The detectives must find a way to collaborate in solving the murder(s?) and uncovering a conspiracy spanning over 150 years.
Also starring in the eight-episode series alongside Graham are Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Shira Haas, Amaka Okafor, and Kyle Soller.
The trailer begins with 2023's detective DS Hasan (Amaka Okafor) discovering the body of a man with no DNA records or prints in the system. We watch as she then discovers that DI Hillinghead (Kyle Soller) had investigated the exact same body in 1890, as well as DS Whiteman (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd) in 1941.
"The body is from the past, present and future," explains Mannix ominously to DS Hasan. "I'm going to tell you everything, and it's going to blow your mind."
