Trailer released for Fergus O'Farrell documentary, 'Breaking Out'
O'Farrell unfortunately passed away in 2016.
The trailer for the award-winning documentary on late Interference singer Fergus O'Farrell has been revealed.
Directed by Michael McCormack, the doc was filmed over the course of ten years and features Glen Hansard, following O'Farrell through his battle with muscular distrophy. Breaking Out's release follows its win at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2019, where it was named Best Irish Documentary.
"It's a great pleasure to finally share Fergus O'Farrell's inspirational story," said director McCormack. "At a time when we all need heroes, Breaking Out will fill your soul." The film will be available to watch in cinemas and on demand from November 6, 2020.
"Breaking Out is a deeply affecting film that pays tribute to his talent, warmth and impact on Ireland’s music scene," said Hot Press' Roe McDermott.
